The first time I visited North Market was about 10 years ago. I tried Nida's and was MIND BLOWN, this was the best Pad Thai that I have ever had in my life! The spice level was on point and the texture of crunch bean sprouts really was just perfect!
Over the years, it's been difficult to try other places at North Market because I've always loved Nida's Pad Thai paired with a small sushi roll. If I visit North Market and want to try something else I always make sure to get an order of Pad Thai to go!
I think it also gives me nostalgia from being so young and finally getting to travel to the city for the first time. Nida's brings me back the memories of my first feelings of independence. -

I've eaten lots and lots of Pad Thai and some has been sublime and some, just plain bad. Now Nida's Sushi is a restaurant that features a decent selection of sushi and several Thai dishes. I've eaten Nida's Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai twice now and it's basically a food court level take out dish that ranks low on my list of places to get Pad Thai.
There's lots of lightly sauced, slightly undercooked noodles, a generous amount of crushed peanuts, a couple small strips of scallion, a couple small pieces of chicken, four medium shrimp, and a little tiny piece of scrambled egg. If you like your food on the mild side and you don't care about the protein portions, you might like this version.
My take is that if you're in the North Market and you want a quick Pad Thai fix, go there. I mean, it works in a pinch but it's not going to wow you. The main attraction is that the portion size is decent enough for the money they charge you. The service, by the way, is fast and friendly, just don't try to use a credit card if your bill is under $10.
Not horrible but not great either.
2 1/2 Stars.

Metro Columbus has some great options for delicious Pad Thai. In no particular order, here are my Top 5 recommendations:
Thai Orchid - Dublin
Joey Chang's - Hilliard
Thai Paradise - Pickerington
Cornerstone Deli - Clintonville
Thai Grille - Westerville -

The North Market is known for their gourmet food venders, but my Green Curry from Nida's was far from gourmet unfortunately. It was watery, salty, bland, and a ridiculously small portion. There were only a few small pieces of vegetables and the tofu wasn't seasoned or fried at all, just straight up plain mushy pieces of tofu. The sauce was so watery and salty that it kind of tasted a little bit like snott honestly. It wasn't even spicy, which I requested specifically. My boyfriend got shrimp lo mein and it was pretty bland too and was a very small portion as well. I think we would have been ok paying a couple dollars more if it meant we would get a decent meal for the money.
I feel bad leaving a negative review for a small business, but I also feel like I was ripped off and based on the other reviews on here, this is not an uncommon experience. This place shouldn't be in the North Market if they aren't going to take pride in their business and make good quality food. -

Very disappointing and a total waste of money. Ordered the teriyaki chicken, which comes with steamed rice, carrots, and broccoli. Sadly, I witnessed the bowls of rice being put into the microwave, after I had already made my purchase, or I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. Of course, it was not good at all. The teriyaki sauce came in a little plastic cup, not already on the chicken and veggies. It was also cold, as were the vegetables. The chicken wasn't good either. This place earned itself the title of my first bad experience at the North Market.

Channeling EBS again because it is needed. How can you call it shrimp Pad Thai when you only put 4, yes only 4!!! shrimp in it. HALF as big of portion as No Thai portion for almost the same price. Since I still split it into 2 meals, that was 2 shrimp a meal just in case you had trouble with 1st grade math.
I was still on the search for good Thai food and this place looked promising. First time at North Market and decided that I needed to use chop sticks since it has been a few days and I worked too hard learning the skill at 55 to let it slip.
The great smells from this place made me choose Thai over the Vietnamese food across the isle and they had the shrimp choice. Even took my medicine I have to take for my shell fish allergy - talk about the waste of the pill. At least I didn't make that mistake with the next meal.
The taste of the food was good and it warmed up well, but it was really just a noodle dish. Maybe if there was TWICE the shrimp for the portion size, it would have been a shrimp noodle dish.
Cheapass ingredients mean no repeat customers.
